Devin Page and Anders Bjorn have recently formed Colvos Construction, named for the Puget Sound waterway connecting Seattle and Tacoma along the west side of Vashon Island. Colvos offers pre-construction, general contracting, construction management, and design-build services in the multi-family/mixed-use, assisted living, healthcare, commercial office and tenant improvement markets.

The Colvos team is currently working with clients throughout the Puget Sound area, including Beacon Development Group in Seattle and InfoBlox in Tacoma.

“When the company was conceptualized, we received a tremendous amount of support,” said President Devin Page. “Colleagues, clients, friends, and family encouraged the formation of Colvos Construction and pledged to support us in any way possible. It was a proud moment for me to see the planning come together, because there were so many people that shared in the vision.”

As President, Page provides principal leadership with the primary focus on client service, pre-construction, operational practices, and overall business strategy. He held the position of Vice President of Rush Commercial Construction in Gig Harbor from 2013 to 2016, and oversaw projects such as Proctor Station Mixed-use and Sinclair Apartments. Under his leadership, Rush Commercial grew from seven to 65 FTEs. Prior to Rush, he was the Special Projects Division Lead at Andersen Construction. Page began his construction career at Skanska. It was at Andersen where Page first worked with Vice President Anders Bjorn.

As the Vice President, Bjorn oversees the day-to-day operations of the Colvos project management and field teams. Bjorn joins Colvos with 14 years of construction experience and a Construction Administration degree from Brigham Young University Idaho. Prior to forming Colvos, Bjorn worked as a Project Manager at Andersen where he oversaw the McMenamins Anderson School in Bothell and the first InfoBlox tenant improvement in Tacoma. Prior to Andersen, Bjorn was at Advanced Technology Construction (ATC). Bjorn began is career at Turner.

Joining Page and Bjorn, the following Colvos teammates will support project execution and standardize operational practices:

• Jeff Bird, Superintendent, is a Central Washington University Construction Administration graduate and most recently worked for Sellen Construction on projects such as 8th & Howell Hyatt Hotel in Seattle and Centre 425 in Bellevue.

• Michelle Cartwright, Operations Support Manager, has been in the commercial construction industry since 2007. Cartwright was the Continuous Improvement Manager at Rush Commercial and a Project Coordinator at CEC.

• Tim Callahan, Project Engineer, is also a CWU CA alumni and was most recently the Project Manager of the Origin Apartments in Lake City for Rush Commercial.

Colvos intends to increase the team to 10 professionals in 2017, adding a Project Manager, Project Engineer, and two Superintendents.
